Full Roof Replacement — Druid Hills Historic Home
A complete tear-off and architectural shingle replacement on a 1960s Druid Hills home whose original roof had reached end of life after 30+ years of Southern Virginia weather.

The Challenge
The home had original plywood decking with moisture damage in two valleys, and the attic was under-ventilated — baking the old shingles and shortening their life. The homeowner also needed the project completed before forecasted rain.
Our Solution
We completed a full tear-off in one day, replaced 6 sheets of damaged plywood, installed synthetic underlayment with ice-and-water shield in all valleys, balanced the attic ventilation with new ridge vent and soffit intake, and installed premium architectural shingles with new drip edge and flashing. The job finished ahead of the rain.
